Description

You’ll design and build the Python/FastAPI backend behind an AI-assisted HR intelligence layer that runs in production. The work includes integrating LLM-powered agents (OpenAI/Anthropic), experimenting with MCP integrations, and turning model capabilities into reliable product features with strong performance and failure handling. You’ll also design APIs that connect the intelligence layer with core HR data services and the frontend.

Responsibilities

• Build the core Python/FastAPI backend that powers AI-assisted HR workflows

• Put LLM APIs into production with reliable behavior, evaluation, and latency/token-budget controls

• Design APIs linking the intelligence layer, HR platform, data services, and frontend

• Collaborate with product and design to ship features that make HR work faster

• Define standards for clean code, performance, and data security as the system scales

Requirements

• Deep Python expertise; experience with async frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask

• Strong PostgreSQL experience, including designing/evolving production data models

• Experience building RESTful APIs that power real, used products

• Interest in AI agent design, prompt orchestration, and workflow automation (not just prompt glue)

• Clean architecture mindset and ability to think about system evolution

• Proactive ownership and strong communication in a fast-moving environment

• Not a match for candidates whose AI experience is only demos/prompt glue or for ML researchers seeking a research-only role
