Description

Own the design, implementation, and operation of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms. Lead Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Terragrunt) and Git-based CI/CD/GitOps automation, and operate production Kubernetes platforms with strong reliability, observability, and incident-response practices. Collaborate with architects and engineering teams while contributing to platform roadmaps and developer experience across AWS and Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate scalable, secure, highly available cloud platforms
• Own complex Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform/Terragrunt and Git-based CI/CD workflows
• Build persistent automation for enterprise-grade platforms, leveraging AI-enabled agents to improve productivity and engineering workflows
• Design, operate, and continuously improve Kubernetes platforms for production workloads (capacity planning, performance optimization, security hardening, lifecycle management)
• Architect automation to improve reliability, resiliency, scalability, and operational efficiency through observability, incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
• Integrate and operate managed cloud services across AWS and Azure (multi-cloud exposure is a plus)
• Act as a technical mentor and platform leader; contribute to architectural reviews, tooling selection, and platform roadmap evolution

Requirements

• Successfully completed university studies in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a comparable field
• 3+ years of hands-on professional experience designing, operating, and scaling cloud platforms and/or platform services in production environments
• Strong practical experience across cloud platforms and Kubernetes, including AWS and/or Azure (networking, IAM, security, compute, managed services)
• Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code, automation, and operations (Terraform/Terragrunt, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, scripting, monitoring/observability, incident handling, RCA, capacity planning, performance optimization)
• Solid understanding of security, governance, and cost optimization (identity and secrets management, network security, compliance awareness; FinOps exposure is a plus)
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills; experience with Agile/DevOps delivery models and structured processes (Jira, Confluence)
• Very good communication skills in English and Polish; German is a plus
• Openness to a hybrid working model (presence in the Katowice office once per week)
• Ability to mentor engineers and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
