Description

Lead the Field Engineering function for field integrations and deployments of Mission-AI’s Frontline Perception System (FPS). You will manage a team of Field Engineers while staying hands-on in integration architecture, tooling development, and on-site deployment execution to ensure reliable, repeatable mission outcomes in customer-owned environments. Success requires balancing engineering velocity with operational reliability, cybersecurity, and government compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a field engineering team; foster ownership and technical excellence
• Define and standardize deployment workflows and integration playbooks for repeatability
• Ensure operational readiness via training, documentation, and deployment guides
• Set technical strategy for field integrations; close gaps in current processes
• Build and improve field engineering tooling and automation workflows (Python, Go, Bash)
• Serve as primary escalation point for complex integration challenges and high-stakes mission issues
• Oversee provisioning and configuration of FPS deployments on customer tactical edge systems
• Ensure secure software delivery in comms-contested environments; align with compliance requirements
• Partner across Engineering, Product, Security, and Mission Operations to drive priorities, risks, dependencies, timelines, and tradeoffs
• Support deployments, demonstrations, exercises, and mission events as needed
• Maintain readiness tracking for personnel skills, software versions, deployment kits, and customer requirements
• Develop standard operating procedures; establish metrics and dashboards for readiness, support, and operational performance
• Conduct post-deployment reviews and implement operational lessons learned
