Description

Lead monitoring and troubleshooting of automated adapters, vertical lifts, and automated robotic vehicles to ensure system performance and meet customer contractual obligations. You will drive proactive and reactionary, project-based work, translate system behavior and functionality clearly for customer and support teams, and manage timelines, budgets, and performance criteria. You will also help develop operating work schedules in collaboration with customer operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monitoring of the health of automated adapters, vertical lifts, and automated robotic vehicles
  • Lead troubleshooting of advanced system and operational issues
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly with site teams and customers
  • Perform field troubleshooting and drive long-term corrective actions using a solutions-based approach
  • Train and assist operators on the full system (automated adapters, vertical lifts, automated robotic vehicles, warehouse management systems, and related IT issues)
  • Backfill key on-site roles when needed
  • Own escalated issues and manage product/service outages through site go-live
  • Support continuous improvement and standardization of warehouse automation solutions in a production-change environment
  • Ensure daily safety compliance with OSHA, company, and customer processes and procedures
  • Maintain deep knowledge of equipment/system capabilities and technical specifications
  • Build organizational bench strength

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with automated systems
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with direct people leadership
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens), robotics (ABB), and software languages such as SQL, Linux, Python
  • Experience with project management, continuous improvement, and Six Sigma
  • Hands-on experience assembling, operating, and troubleshooting robotics and electro-mechanical systems
  • Ability to work under pressure and in changing-priority environments
  • Willingness to learn new equipment and support team members
  • Strong sense of urgency
