Description

Lead a team of software engineers building an AI-powered analytics platform for enterprise decision-making. You will set the technical direction and roadmap for backend services, AI agentic workflows, data pipelines, and front-end experiences, partnering with product, data, and business stakeholders. You’ll also serve as a hands-on technical leader for design reviews, code reviews, and complex problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of software engineers (hiring, onboarding, performance management, career development, retention)

• Foster an engineering culture centered on ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement

• Define and drive the technical vision and roadmap aligned with broader data and AI strategy

• Lead hands-on technical work in design reviews, code reviews, and complex problem-solving

• Design and deliver AI agentic workflows integrated with homegrown and third-party LLM systems

• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance via testing, monitoring, and deployment automation

• Partner with business and operations stakeholders to translate workflows into impactful data tools

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in engineering management or technical lead role with direct reports

• Strong proficiency in Python and ReactJS

• Deep understanding of performant coding patterns and scalable software architectures

• Proven microservice-based architecture experience

• Experience with authentication/authorization frameworks and API design/integration

• Proficiency with relational and nonrelational databases (e.g., MySQL, NoSQL, OpenSearch)

• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with AI/LLM integration and applied AI or agentic solutions (strongly preferred)

• Familiarity with data orchestration frameworks (Airflow or Temporal)

• Experience with charting and visualization libraries (D3.js, ECharts)

• Experience with frontend testing frameworks (Jest, Jasmine)

• Ability to mentor and grow engineering teams in a fast-paced environment and balance long-term strategy with near-term execution

• Ability to operate with high autonomy, drive alignment across teams, and influence without authority
