Description

You will learn how data center infrastructure works—power systems (including UPS and diesel generators), low-voltage distribution, cooling, and BMS/DCIM—while supporting monitoring, routine checks, maintenance, and technical issue resolution. You will also contribute to data center build-outs and help with rack equipment installation, cabling (copper and fiber) setup, commissioning, and technical documentation. Based on your strengths and interests, you can later specialize in energy, cooling, monitoring, Smart Hands, or telecommunications.

Responsibilities

• Learn data center technology infrastructure: power, UPS, diesel generators, low-voltage distribution, cooling, BMS/DCIM
• Participate in supervision, regular inspections, maintenance, and technical tasks (supported by more experienced colleagues)
• Support development and construction of new data center halls, including DC10–DC13 (~2 MW total power) and CRA Prague Gateway DC in Zbraslav (12 halls, 2,000+ racks, 26 MW total power)
• Install equipment in racks; mount hardware; connect and test copper and fiber optic cabling
• Connect and commission devices according to internal procedures and applicable electrical engineering legislation
• Set up and optimize operating parameters to ensure reliable customer service availability
• Coordinate with suppliers for service, preventive inspections, and reviews; maintain related technical documentation

Requirements

• Secondary education in electrical engineering
• Valid certification under NV 194/2022 Sb. (Section 6 or higher) or eligibility to obtain it
• Interest in electrical engineering, modern technologies, and learning data center operations
• Precision, responsibility, independence, and manual dexterity for work on critical infrastructure
• Ability to collaborate in a team and gradually take responsibility for assigned tasks
• Customer-oriented approach and ability to connect technical work to customer needs
• Basic PC skills (MS Outlook, MS Excel)
• English sufficient to communicate technical issues with customers
• Driver’s license category B
• Data center experience is not required (experience in electrical engineering, energy, cooling, measurement and control, telecommunications, industrial operations, or technical service is valued)
• Advantage: knowledge of UPS, DC/AC power systems, or basic troubleshooting of network devices
