Description

Data Center Engineers work across the design, construction, commissioning, and operational phases of a data center’s life cycle. As an intern, you’ll learn and support responsibilities that vary by project area, with a focus on power system architecture work such as modeling, simulation, documentation, and helping inform safety- and design-related decisions.

Responsibilities

• Perform specific responsibilities that vary by project area

• Support data center system-level architecture activities and performance requirement definition

• Contribute to conceptual design and programming requirements as needed

• Collaborate with a team to help generate ideas, communicate recommendations, and support implementation with facilities technicians

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field

• Available to work full time for 12 weeks outside of university term time

• In the penultimate academic year (or returning to a degree program after completion of the internship)

• Located in the United States for the duration of the internship

• Ability to understand and develop power system architectures, products, system design, operations, maintenance, and procedures

• Ability to develop technical documentation

• Ability to perform power system modeling and simulation

• Excellent problem-solving skills to produce highly accurate analyses that ensure designs satisfy safety requirements

Benefits

• Individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training

• US pay range: $82,000–$109,000 (USD) + 0% bonus target
