Server and Network Specialist (Part-Time)

Description

Manage and develop server and network services including web hosting, LDAP, proxy, SMTP, file server, DNS and DHCP. Administer and secure firewalls (including VPN), connect local systems to university-wide systems and the Microsoft environment, and proactively monitor the infrastructure using Zabbix. You will also support partial network device administration and contribute to IT infrastructure maintenance and technical problem-solving.

Requirements

• Technical secondary education with a high-school diploma (maturita)
• Experience administering a larger Linux environment
• Good knowledge of the Debian server distribution
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of firewalls and virtualization (ideally Fortinet and VMware)
• Knowledge of FreeBSD or willingness to learn it
• Independence, responsibility, and ability to solve technical problems
• Communication, flexibility, and own initiative
• Positive attitude toward technology and good orientation in technical environments
• English knowledge is an advantage
