Description

You will manage dozens of virtual servers and network infrastructure (both internal and client environments), including installation, migrations, backups, monitoring, and security. The role focuses on networking and security controls (VPN, firewall rules, vulnerability scanning) and handling incidents from the first alert through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Daily administration of Linux servers (Debian and derivatives): install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot
• Proxmox virtualization work: cluster installation, Ceph storage, and VM migrations from ESXi
• Networking and security: OpenVPN and IPsec tunnels, firewall rules, regular security checks, vulnerability scanning (Greenbone)
• Backup and disaster recovery: Bareos, DR plans, system restores
• Monitoring: Zabbix (templates, triggers, AlertOPS) and Graylog
• Certificates and PKI: Let’s Encrypt, wildcard certificates, internal CA
• Automation with Ansible (AWX)
• Client-facing work: requirement analysis and solution presentation, including hardware recommendations
• Networking strategy: planning topology, redundancy, and capacity improvements for the future

Requirements

• Hands-on Linux administration experience (Debian or derivatives)
• Proxmox virtualization administration experience (clusters, VM migrations)
• Networking and security knowledge, including VPNs and firewall rule configuration
• Backup and disaster recovery experience with restore capability
• Monitoring and alerting experience (Zabbix and alerting workflows)
• Ability to resolve security incidents end-to-end
• Basic SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MySQL)
• Basic knowledge of Apache2, Nginx, and HAProxy
