Description

You will provide L3/L4 operational support and also deliver project and advisory work to develop and modernize an enterprise VMware environment. The role combines resolving complex incidents and configuration/performance issues with architecture, upgrades, migrations, cluster deployments, and technical assessments. Workload may vary based on the number of tickets/incidents and current project priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide L3/L4 support for VMware infrastructure, including diagnostics and resolving complex incidents and configuration/performance problems

• Administer, configure, and maintain vSphere 8, vCenter, and vSAN 8

• Troubleshoot compute, storage, network, HA, vSAN, and performance-related areas

• Perform detailed diagnostics and root cause analysis

• Design, configure, and implement enterprise-class VMware environments

• Build and develop vSAN clusters, including witness host configuration

• Conduct technical evaluations, sizing, and capacity planning

• Analyze performance and review configurations of existing VMware environments

• Support migrations, upgrades, cluster deployments, and infrastructure modernization

• Design and optimize highly available and resilient VMware environments

• Support HA, redundancy, storage, networking, and disaster recovery

• Provide technical advisory on complex issues involving VMware, servers, storage, SAN/FC, and backup

Requirements

• Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting VMware vSphere 8, vCenter, and vSAN 8

• Experience designing VMware architecture and delivering builds, deployments, configuration, upgrades, and migrations

• Experience with 2-node vSAN clusters and witness hosts

• Very good knowledge of HA, redundancy, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and performance optimization

• Experience with enterprise-class server and storage environments

• Knowledge of storage solutions, especially Dell, IBM FlashSystem, and Dell PowerStore

• Good knowledge of Fibre Channel and SAN

• Experience with backup & recovery solutions such as Commvault and/or NetBackup

• Very good diagnostic skills and root cause analysis at L3/L4

• Excellent Polish language skills (spoken and written)
