Description

You will work on digitalization and automation initiatives within the development department, with rotations across at least three departments (including phases in development and the supply chain). The role focuses on identifying automation potential to reduce development lead times, advancing automation tools with an emphasis on AI, and creating processes and guidelines for efficient and secure AI use. You will collaborate with R&D, IT, Corporate Strategy, and Project Management while acting as the primary automation point of contact for the department.

Responsibilities

  • Lead digitalization and automation projects and manage associated tools in the development department
  • Identify automation opportunities in development processes to improve efficiency and reduce lead times
  • Introduce, apply, and continuously advance automation tools, with a focus on AI tools
  • Collaborate with R&D, IT, Corporate Strategy, and Project Management
  • Serve as the primary contact for automation topics within development and liaise with external partners
  • Engage employees on automation and AI application, understand challenges, and support effective solutions
  • Monitor emerging automation and AI trends and leverage them for competitive advantage
  • Design processes and guidelines for efficient and secure AI use in development and other business areas

Requirements

  • Relevant degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field
  • Recently graduated or first professional experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Manufacturing, Automation, Robotics, or Production Technology
  • First experience planning and implementing improvement projects
  • Entrepreneurial thinking with awareness of deadlines, costs, and quality
  • Independent, goal-oriented, and solution-focused work style plus excellent communication
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English and fluent German (C1)
  • Desire to work collaboratively to drive future innovation
  • Ability to be self-aware and take ownership of personal development
