Description

This is a highly technical Business Analyst role serving as a Solution Subject Matter Expert within a complex, enterprise lottery systems environment. You will bridge business stakeholders, site operations, and Software Development to ensure solutions are technically feasible, architecturally aligned, and successfully delivered. You will lead requirements definition, translate business needs into structured user stories, and maintain requirements traceability in JIRA.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical SME for assigned solutions; maintain working knowledge of architecture, integrations, infrastructure components, and deployment flows
  • Lead requirements definition efforts and author detailed System Requirements Specifications (SRS), including functional and non-functional requirements
  • Translate business needs into structured user stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Enter and manage requirements in JIRA to ensure traceability from intake through delivery
  • Respond to technical inquiries from customers and internal teams about system capabilities, constraints, and integration impacts
  • Partner with Development, QA, Technical Services, and Operations to validate feasibility and alignment
  • Identify technical risks, sequencing dependencies, and integration impacts early in the lifecycle
  • Support full lifecycle activities: design validation, UAT preparation, production readiness, and post-launch support
  • Apply structured methodology and change management best practices to ensure governance alignment and documentation quality

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of Business Analysis experience in complex system environments
  • Experience participating in full life cycle (FLC) implementations
  • Working knowledge of system architecture, integration sequencing, configuration & customization, and production cutover processes
  • Experience developing use cases and conducting gap analysis
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly at all organizational levels
  • Strong documentation and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Experience using JIRA or similar backlog management tools
  • Strong technical aptitude and systems thinking, including authoring detailed functional and system requirements in complex environments
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-project environments while maintaining quality and technical attention to detail
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to bridge business and technical teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including identifying integration impacts
  • Customer-focused professional written and verbal communication skills
