Description

Lead field-based Medical Outcomes activities to support customer decision-making and improve population health through real-world data analytics, pharmacoeconomic analyses, outcomes evaluations, and medical education. Serve as a Field Medical Outcomes lead for assigned organized customers by developing compliant medical account plans and providing clinically and economically grounded insights. Partner cross-functionally to design and support health information technology (HIT) initiatives, e-data collection, and non-interventional studies aligned with Medical Affairs strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external SOPs, rules, and regulations
  • Provide objective, scientifically sound medical information using pharmacoeconomic models, outcomes tools, HOPEs/educational programs, and non-interventional studies
  • Prioritize customer and Pfizer needs to develop real-world evidence-based outcomes tools that address quality gaps and population health
  • Develop and execute medical account plans for assigned customers, representing Medical Affairs and identifying collaboration opportunities
  • Apply principles of study design, methodology, data analysis, and interpretation and communicate them with customers
  • Engage market stakeholders (e.g., QI organizations, advocacy groups, coalitions) to align population health priorities with medical objectives
  • Support HIT initiatives: assess opportunities, triage for review, evaluate capabilities/feasibility, and provide clinical relevance
  • Analyze clinical workflows within healthcare information systems to reduce care gaps and improve care efficiency
  • Facilitate development of clinical content using information technology to build tools and resources
  • Provide expertise in e-data collection planning and collaborate on e-data collection approaches
  • Work cross-functionally to identify, design, and deploy HIT solutions and maintain clinical informatics capabilities
  • Create internal/external tools, resources, and educational materials; demonstrate scientific leadership via literature review and networking
  • Respond to customer requests with appropriate scientific interpretation of clinical and pharmacoeconomic information
  • Collaborate with internal partners (HEOR, CI, AME, Field Medical, HQ Medical) and contribute customer insights for brand medical strategies
  • Educate healthcare organizations on patient care gaps and guideline-based care; provide medical support regarding Pfizer products
  • Maintain required internal training status and continue professional development

Requirements

  • MD or DO with 4+ years relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in health science
  • Relevant experience in clinical/formulary/managed care/quality improvement OR data analytics and/or HEOR with strong study design and data analysis/interpretation methodology
  • Significant experience interacting with payers and organized customers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for managing competing external and internal demands and conflict
  • Strong analytic skills and judgment; ability to prioritize multiple projects in a continuous improvement environment
  • Ability to travel 40–50% and occasionally work weekends
  • Valid US driver’s license; no DUI/DWI or impaired driving citation within the past 7 years
  • Permanent US work authorization; no US work visa sponsorship
