Description

Own and run the entire IT operations and act as the responsible IT person. Decide on tools and solution paths, including modern AI tools, with short communication paths and structured onboarding by the current IT lead.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve server and virtualization infrastructure (VMware), including backup and infrastructure migrations

• Ensure network and security, including Sophos firewalls and VPN-based site connectivity, plus internet and mobile connectivity

• Manage endpoints and devices across four sites using Intune and Apple Business Manager; support clients, printers, and phone systems

• Support and enhance business applications, including Business Central with Continia, warehouse management, route planning, and payment/invoicing processes up to XRechnung

• Develop small web apps and process apps where no standard product fits; apply AI to daily workflows

• Manage external IT service providers and software partners

Requirements

• Several years of experience as an IT all-rounder, preferably in a mid-sized organization with multiple locations

• VMware, Windows Server and clients, Microsoft 365, networking, and VPN

• Experience with firewalls and device management (Sophos, Intune, Apple Business Manager or comparable tools)

• Experience with an ERP system, ideally Business Central

• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python or similar)

• Class B driver’s license

• Good English skills
