Description

Manage and administer the organization’s IT infrastructure, including lifecycle management and central systems such as Microsoft 365, Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, cloud services, and research software. Plan and implement maintenance, updates, backups, and IT security measures, support IT workplaces (hardware and standard software), and provide IT support to staff. Contribute to IT strategy through a cross-departmental IT committee and ensure data protection and information security.

Requirements

• Degree in IT-related fields (or comparable vocational training) with several years of relevant professional experience
• In-depth administration knowledge of modern IT infrastructures, especially Microsoft 365, Windows, and Linux, plus virtualization, networking, and cloud services
• Experience with IT service management, IT security, backup and operations concepts, and working with external IT providers and IT projects
• Knowledge of relevant data protection and information security requirements
• Analytical, structured, solution-oriented approach with strong communication and service orientation
• Willingness for occasional duty at the two Cottbus work sites
