Description

You will redesign the cloud architecture as part of a strategic transformation program, from the Azure Landing Zone to modern cloud platforms and the planned return of selected production systems to the company data center. In this role, you own IT operations and continuous improvement across data center and cloud, while building Azure and cloud expertise within your team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and disciplinary leadership for the IT System Engineering team, including building cloud/Azure know-how
• Own overall responsibility for operations, availability, and continuous optimization of IT infrastructure across data center and cloud systems
• Contribute to the strategic cloud transformation: design, build, and further develop the Azure tenant for the new core platform
• Administer and strategically develop the Microsoft Entra ID environment
• Coordinate infrastructure projects, prioritize tasks, and lead alignment and decision-making processes within IT and with other business areas
• Steer external service providers and system partners to gradually transfer know-how into the internal team and determine the best operating model in the mid-term
• Support the evolution of IT and cloud strategy and ensure IT security and compliance requirements

Requirements

• Successful degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or a comparable qualification
• First leadership experience or strong motivation to lead and develop a team
• Expertise in Azure Landing Zone/enterprise-scale architecture design, implementation, and operation
• Practical experience in administering and strategically evolving Microsoft Entra ID
• Solid knowledge to operate a highly available, resilient IT infrastructure including system architecture
• Analytical and structured working approach and strong documentation skills
• Excellent German skills and good English skills
