• Role: Senior Data Scientist (on-site, 5 days per week)

Description

The Senior Data Scientist will drive business insights for Biologics Operations using statistical, machine learning, and AI methodologies. The role includes preparing structured and unstructured data, building advanced models, and communicating implications to stakeholders. You will also design and optimize dashboards and BI applications, lead AI evaluation/adoption through pilots and prototypes (including generative AI and chatbots), mentor junior team members, and apply Agile/SCRUM for delivery.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Biologics Operations to understand business needs and translate complex problems into modeling/algorithm solutions
• Prepare and manipulate structured and unstructured data; interrogate real-world datasets for actionable insights
• Develop and optimize dashboards and BI applications using AWS, Dataiku, and Power BI; configure BI data models and provide user support/training
• Champion AI adoption by evaluating new AI tools/methods, leading pilots and proof-of-concepts, and generating/evaluating small AI prototypes
• Collaborate and share knowledge across teams; stay current with AI developments and trends
• Demonstrate innovation, technology adaptability, project delivery/analysis, and mentorship
• Apply modern tools and engineering practices (e.g., GitHub, Slack, Jira) and contribute to the delivery POD team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of practical experience (or 1+ year with a Master’s) implementing data engineering or data science, with examples of success
• OR 3+ years of operations database programming experience (or 1+ year with a Master’s)
• Understanding of relational databases
