Description

You will apply artificial intelligence, machine learning, and statistical modeling to build adaptive bioprocess control algorithms. The work includes developing predictive models for fermentation and downstream processing, analyzing complex bioprocess datasets, and enabling scalable, compliant improvements in plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement adaptive process control strategies using online measurements and dynamic parameter adjustment

  • Develop and deploy predictive models to optimize bioprocess workflows (fermentation and downstream processing)

  • Translate process insights into actionable improvements for yield enhancement and cost reduction

  • Analyze complex datasets from bioprocess operations (sensor data, batch records, experimental results)

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate data science solutions into plant operations with scalability and compliance

  • Communicate findings via visualizations, reports, and presentations to technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Improve data pipelines and modeling frameworks for bioprocess control

Requirements

  • M.S. + 6 years of experience or Ph.D. + 3 years of experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field

  • Strong foundation in machine learning, statistical modeling, and process control

  • Proficiency in Python, R, or another programming language

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for multidisciplinary teams
