Description

Lead the analytics strategy for engagement and lifecycle initiatives end to end, from activation and habit formation to retention, churn prevention, and reactivation. Influence cross-functional leaders and build AI-native roadmaps that connect measurement and model performance to member and business outcomes. Mentor and elevate the team by raising scientific standards and creating reusable frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Set data science strategy across engagement and lifecycle product initiatives
  • Drive experimentation at scale using A/B/n, painted-door, bandits, and quasi-experimental designs
  • Apply causal inference (Propensity Score, DiD, Synthetic Control) when experimentation is constrained
  • Develop durable segmentation strategies from patterns across experiments and analyses
  • Co-create analytics/AI strategy with cross-functional teams, including measurement, safety, risk, and ethical considerations
  • Translate ambiguous business strategy into analytical problems and frameworks
  • Mentor Data Scientists and raise the bar on scientific best practices

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in data science and analytics, with a track record of driving strategy and impact across initiatives or business units
  • Deep expertise in causal inference, customer segmentation, and experimentation design
  • Proven success designing and interpreting complex experiments beyond traditional A/B testing, plus causal inference when experimentation is constrained
  • First-principles thinking to translate ambiguous business strategy into analytical problems
  • Ability to build offline classification and regression models to inform business decisions
  • Experience creating reusable frameworks/methodologies/toolkits adopted by broader teams
  • Exceptional communication and ability to influence Director- and VP-level stakeholders
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and make fast data-driven decisions
  • BS or MS in a relevant quantitative field (advanced degree preferred)
  • Preferred: consumer engagement/retention/growth experience; fintech experience is a plus
