Description

You will take ownership of the Checkmarx application security platform and act as the go-to technical expert for application teams, security teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

The work includes managing central configuration, day-to-day operations, upgrades and maintenance, and troubleshooting scan execution in CI/CD pipelines.

You will also contribute to the SAP Piper pipeline solution, validate vendor fixes and patches, and support production recovery during operational incidents.

Responsibilities

• Manage central configuration of the platform and ensure reliable day-to-day operation
• Perform upgrades and maintenance activities
• Investigate and resolve user-reported issues
• Troubleshoot scan execution in CI/CD pipelines
• Respond to operational incidents, including recovery efforts
• Coordinate with Checkmarx vendors on issues, feature requests, and timelines; participate in vendor meetings and escalate critical issues
• Contribute to the SAP Piper pipeline solution: bug fixes and development of new features
• Configure and troubleshoot scan integrations
• Suggest improvements for monitoring, tooling, and features
• Evaluate new product capabilities and coordinate adoption plans
• Validate vendor fixes and patches before production deployment and provide feedback that influences product roadmap discussions

Requirements

• 5+ years administering and operating application security platforms such as Checkmarx
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, including scan execution and integration troubleshooting
• Experience with the SAP Piper pipeline solution, including bug fixes and feature development
• Skills in vendor management, including issue escalation and coordination of feature requests and timelines
• Background in operational incident handling and recovery processes
• Understanding of platform administration: configuration management, upgrades, and maintenance
• Ability to evaluate new product capabilities and coordinate their adoption
