Description

Own and operate the Checkmarx application security platform as a technical go-to expert for application teams, security teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Manage central platform configuration, upgrades, maintenance, and investigate user-reported issues. Troubleshoot scan execution in CI/CD pipelines and contribute to the SAP Piper pipeline solution (bug fixes and new features), while coordinating adoption of new capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage central configuration and ensure smooth day-to-day operation

• Perform upgrades and maintenance to keep the platform reliable

• Investigate and resolve reported issues

• Troubleshoot scan execution in CI/CD pipelines

• Respond to operational incidents, including recovery efforts

• Coordinate with vendors on issues, feature requests, and timelines; participate in vendor meetings and escalate critical items

• Contribute to SAP Piper pipeline solution: bug fixes and development of new features

• Configure and troubleshoot scan integrations

• Suggest improvements related to monitoring, tooling, and features

• Evaluate new product capabilities and coordinate adoption plans

• Validate vendor fixes and patches before production deployment, providing feedback that can influence the product roadmap

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience administering and operating application security platforms such as Checkmarx

• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, including scan execution and integration troubleshooting

• Experience with SAP Piper pipeline solution, including bug fixes and feature development

• Vendor management skills, including issue escalation and coordination on feature requests and timelines

• Background in operational incident handling and recovery processes

• Understanding of platform administration: configuration management, upgrades, and maintenance

• Ability to evaluate new product capabilities and coordinate their adoption
