Description

Own and operate the Checkmarx application security platform as the go-to technical expert for application teams, security teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Manage configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting of scan execution in CI/CD pipelines, and operational incident response. Contribute to the SAP Piper pipeline solution with bug fixes and new feature development, and support monitoring and tooling improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage central platform configuration and ensure reliable day-to-day operations

• Perform upgrades and maintenance activities

• Investigate and resolve user-reported issues

• Troubleshoot scan execution in CI/CD pipelines

• Respond to operational incidents, including recovery efforts

• Communicate with vendors about issues, feature requests, and timelines; participate in vendor meetings and escalate critical issues

• Contribute to the SAP Piper pipeline solution (bug fixes, new features)

• Configure and troubleshoot scan integrations

• Suggest improvements to monitoring, tooling, and features

• Evaluate new product capabilities and coordinate adoption plans

• Validate vendor fixes and patches before production deployment, providing feedback that influences roadmap discussions

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience administering and operating application security platforms such as Checkmarx

• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, including scan execution and integration troubleshooting

• Experience with the SAP Piper pipeline solution, including bug fixes and feature development

• Skills in vendor management, including issue escalation and coordination on feature requests and timelines

• Background in operational incident handling and recovery processes

• Understanding of platform administration, including configuration management, upgrades, and maintenance

• Ability to evaluate new product capabilities and coordinate their adoption
