Description

You will assess SME loan applications and make independent, risk-based credit decisions. The role includes in-depth analysis of financial statements and risk indicators, structuring secured and unsecured lending solutions (even when outside traditional models), and reviewing portfolio trends and risk exposure. You will also contribute to underwriting best practices and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Assess SME loan applications and make independent credit decisions with a balanced risk approach

• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and risk indicators

• Structure lending solutions for secured and unsecured loans, including complex deals outside traditional models

• Review loan offers and provide insights on portfolio trends and risk exposure

• Support process improvements and help shape underwriting best practices

• Monitor economic trends and their impact on credit risk assessment

• Assist with hardship assessments and provide tailored client solutions when required

• Mentor junior team members and share expertise

Requirements

• Significant experience in a Credit Analyst, Credit Underwriter, or similar senior role

• Proven background in credit underwriting, ideally in business lending

• Ability to assess risk without over-reliance on automated models

• Experience making funding decisions for both secured and unsecured loans

• Strong ability to interpret financial statements (property-backed underwriting knowledge is a plus)

• Leadership abilities with experience mentoring or guiding junior analysts

• Fluency in Polish and English (required)
