Description

You’ll own the end-to-end analytics data strategy—designing and shipping the architecture for internal reporting, business intelligence, agentic tooling, and experimentation. You’ll drive the AI strategy for internal tools by defining prompt/data standards and building trustworthy infrastructure at scale. You’ll also set the domain data strategy and implement monitoring, testing, and reconciliation so every dashboard and dataset is consistent, accurate, and current.

Responsibilities

  • Define how analytics reporting, BI, agentic tooling, and experimentation infrastructure are architected and delivered

  • Make decisions on data models, tooling investments, and delivery patterns balancing speed, accuracy, and scalability

  • Lead the roadmap for agentic and LLM-powered internal tooling (standards + infrastructure)

  • Establish metrics, underlying data, and modeling/naming/usage standards across the organization

  • Set data contracts and ownership boundaries to maintain a single source of truth

  • Build monitoring, testing, and reconciliation systems to ensure trustworthy reporting

  • Translate raw data into actionable business insight through cross-functional partnership

  • Set technical best practices for data modeling, tooling, and data quality; mentor engineers and analysts as an IC lead

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a data or software engineer building data warehouses, distributed data systems, or event-driven architectures

  • Ability to design and implement dimensional, Data Vault, or ledger-style data models

  • Hands-on expertise across ingestion (Kafka, Debezium), transformation (dbt, Spark, Flink), orchestration (Dagster, Airflow), and observability (Monte Carlo, Great Expectations)

  • Experience with cloud data warehouses: Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift (schema design, cost optimization, workload tuning)

  • Production-grade Python or SQL development; CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code integration

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration to turn messy requirements into robust data systems

  • Must live within commuting distance of New York, Seattle, Los Angeles, or San Francisco hubs

Benefits

  • Generous holiday and time off policy

  • Health insurance options (Medical, Dental, Vision)

  • Work-from-home support; home office setup allowance

  • Monthly allowance for cell phone and internet

  • Care benefits and monthly wellness allowance

  • Annual allowance toward childcare

  • Lifetime benefit for family planning (adoption/fertility)

  • Retirement: 401k (Traditional and Roth) with employer match up to 4% in the US; international pension plans

  • Monthly allowance for dogfooding the app

  • 16 weeks paid parental leave plus one month gradual return to work

Compensation

$207,000/year to $290,000/year base salary for US-based full-time applicants + benefits + equity.
