Description

The Business Systems Analyst performs business process analysis, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefit analysis to align IT solutions with business initiatives. The role supports mortgage and home equity systems by developing and maintaining application functionality, validating requirements (including Blend and Empower), and providing level two support to resolve complex issues. You may also participate in feature refinement and user acceptance testing, and perform control testing against industry and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate/define specifications for operating applications or modify/maintain complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities

  • Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems; devise programs, systems, and procedures to process data

  • Prepare charts/diagrams for problem analysis and recommend solutions

  • Develop program specifications, diagrams, and coding logic flowcharts

  • Encode, test, debug, and install operating programs and procedures in coordination with operations and user departments

  • Review progress and evaluate results

  • Report inconsistencies to management and suggest problem resolutions and business process improvements

  • Provide on-call support rotation after hours and/or weekends (as required by certain business groups)

  • Support agile product owners with feature refinement and/or user acceptance testing

  • Act as level two support for mortgage and home equity systems to ensure associates have access to required tools

  • Validate Blend and Empower functionality to ensure alignment with business requirements

  • Conduct control testing to ensure tools meet industry and regulatory standards

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with 7 years of related experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of related experience

  • Knowledge of applicable testing tools

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
