Description
The Advanced Facilities Electrical Engineer serves as the site’s electrical and automation technical leader, driving reliability, uptime, safety, and continuous improvement across manufacturing and facility systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical reliability and maintenance programs for manufacturing equipment, power distribution systems, automation controls, and critical facility assets.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex electrical, controls, PLC, robotics, drive, and industrial network issues.
- Develop and optimize predictive and preventive maintenance strategies using RCFA, FMEA, RCM, and condition-based monitoring tools.
- Manage PLC platforms, SCADA, HMI, industrial communications, and equipment integration initiatives.
- Evaluate and deploy emerging technologies including Industrial IoT, predictive analytics, smart sensors, and Industry 4.0 solutions.
- Monitor and improve KPIs such as uptime, downtime, MTBF, MTTR, energy consumption, and maintenance effectiveness.
- Lead continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency, and asset lifecycle management.
- Develop maintenance and controls personnel through technical training, mentoring, and skills development programs.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, OSHA regulations, NFPA requirements, and company engineering standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial facilities, automation, or electrical engineering
- Strong expertise in electrical systems, industrial controls, PLCs, industrial communications networks, and equipment reliability
- Proven experience improving system performance, reducing downtime, and leading technical troubleshooting efforts
- Ability to ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, OSHA regulations, and NFPA requirements
