Description

Focuses on identifying user needs and opportunities to create problem statements, personas, and goals for AI-powered database experiences. Evaluates experiences for discoverability, usability, accessibility, and desirability, then designs and communicates solutions using journeys, wireframes, information architecture, user flows, and prototypes. Leads cross-functional efforts from concept through delivery and gathers post-release feedback to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead AI experience strategy for AI-powered capabilities across database products

  • Design user-centered workflows for AI features such as copilots, conversational interfaces, intelligent recommendations, and guided workflows

  • Define user journeys, interaction models, information architecture, wireframes, and prototypes to simplify complex database tasks

  • Establish design principles for AI interactions that support trust, transparency, discoverability, and explainability

  • Partner with Product Management to incorporate customer experience considerations into strategy and roadmap

  • Champion the voice of the customer through research synthesis and cross-functional alignment

  • Analyze research data to define best approaches and craft the story of user needs and solutions

  • Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research with end users and stakeholders

  • Test and refine designs based on quality, regulatory compliance, safety, accessibility, and feedback

  • Maintain design coherence using conceptual models; adapt based on user feedback and usage data

  • Use and adapt existing design systems, style guides, patterns, templates, and components; create new patterns when needed

  • Participate in and lead design reviews; present concepts, trade-offs, and feasibility to stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Design, Computer Science, Information Sciences, or related discipline

  • 10+ years of experience in User Experience Design, Product Design, UX Research, Human Factors, or related fields

  • Demonstrated experience designing enterprise software or cloud platform experiences

  • Strong portfolio showcasing experience design and user research across complex software products

  • Experience planning and conducting qualitative and quantitative user research

  • Expertise translating research findings into product and design recommendations

  • Experience designing AI-assisted experiences, conversational interfaces, or intelligent product workflows

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies, interaction design, usability principles, and information architecture

  • Experience using modern design and research tools such as Figma, Qualtrics, Maze, or similar platforms

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills to influence cross-functional stakeholders
