Description

The Manager, Manufacturing Equipment Engineering leads teams that develop and/or source manufacturing equipment to support manufacturing goals. The role covers the equipment lifecycle from concept through qualification, deployment, performance improvement, and support through obsolescence, while maintaining a safe working environment. This includes planning and delivering automation equipment opportunities and ensuring on-time performance and KPI achievement.

Responsibilities

• Define the scope of technical work, coordinate the team, assign work, and assist in problem resolution across the product lifecycle
• Support manufacturing technical issues from conception to manufacturing obsolescence from an equipment perspective
• Partner with Process and Quality leaders to ensure equipment plans meet product specifications and capacity targets
• Evaluate manufacturing impact of design concepts
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for specific Automation manufacturing areas
• Develop and promote equipment best-practice standards; participate in industry organizations and provide global training/support
• Drive equipment opportunities and liaise with stakeholders and solution providers for design and technical specifications
• Ensure on-time performance (OPT) delivery of the automation project portfolio
• Lead site-level equipment capacity planning and capital equipment plans; provide technical leadership for equipment planning and execution
• Set yearly department plans and goals, direct performance expectations, and conduct performance evaluations and ongoing feedback; ensure department objectives and KPIs are achieved

Requirements

• 7–10 years of related experience; experience in similar roles
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
