Description

Software Engineering Specialists participate in a BUILD Leadership Program that develops early-career talent through hands-on experience and rotation across functional engineering areas. The program is designed to build business acumen, functional expertise, and professional skills for future roles. Rotations may include front-end, back-end, embedded, DevOps/SRE, cloud/SRE, and software quality/test automation.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through different software engineering functional areas every six months
• Build skills in front-end (React or similar), back-end (C#, Node.js, etc.), and embedded (C++) as needed
• Work in DevOps/SRE areas such as CI/CD pipelines, containers, services, and observability
• Support software quality initiatives including test automation

Requirements

• B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science or a related degree
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated problem-solving and time-management
• Willingness to travel up to 20% based on business needs
• Leadership experience influencing change, people, and processes (highly preferred)
• Team-oriented with initiative (highly preferred)
• Less than two years of related work experience (highly preferred)
