Description

You’ll design and build a proprietary trading application from scratch—no legacy handoffs—and take full ownership of architecture, technology choices, and delivery. The role includes real-time trading tooling (market data ingestion, positions, risk, and P&L), exchange/broker connectivity, and ongoing decisions on your tech stack and processes. You’ll work closely with traders so feedback is immediate, and you’ll actively use agentic AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) as part of daily development.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the trading application architecture from the ground up.
• Develop real-time trading tools: connect to markets/exchanges, process market data, calculate positions, risk, and P&L.
• Own technology stack, tools, and development processes.
• Use AI coding agents intentionally and daily to accelerate development (not just occasional experiments).
• Work alongside traders and incorporate rapid feedback into the product.

Requirements

• Experience developing trading or other real-time, reliability-critical applications (trading systems, market data, risk/P&L, exchange/broker integrations).
• Ability to propose and justify system architecture independently.
• Practical experience with agentic programming using AI coding agents effectively.
• Solid engineering fundamentals: clean code, testing, and reliability considerations for live trading systems.
