Description

You will be part of a hardware development team building new products such as portable and industrial thermal barcode printers, RFID solutions, wireless technologies, accessories, and services. You will design from concept through mass production while balancing multiple projects, participate in technical design reviews and architectural planning, and communicate design details to cross-functional teams. You will also provide technical support for existing printer lines by resolving manufacturing yield and field quality issues and evaluating alternative electronic components to mitigate supply or obsolescence risks.

Responsibilities

  • Design new products from initial concept through mass production while prioritizing multiple concurrent projects

  • Contribute in conceptual design, drive technical design reviews, and participate in architectural strategic planning

  • Present and communicate design information effectively with cross-functional teams and internal/external experts

  • Stay current on emerging technology advances, design standards, and competitive IP

  • Provide technical support for existing printer product lines (manufacturing yield and field quality issues)

  • Evaluate alternative electronic components using systematic problem-solving to reduce supply-chain disruption or component obsolescence

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 9+ years of engineering experience with emphasis on Mixed Signal Circuit Design

  • Strong circuit modeling/simulation/troubleshooting and electrical engineering best practices

  • Proficiency with circuit analysis tools and laboratory experience

  • Advanced circuit design experience including schematic capture and PCB layout using Mentor Graphics or Altium

  • Extensive experience with RFID and interfaces/protocols including SPI, I2C, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and USB

  • Experience with analog and power circuits, precision motor drive circuits, and thermal printhead control logic

  • Experience with global regulatory approvals and maintenance for EMC and Safety

  • Competency with test equipment including oscilloscopes, data collectors, electronic loads, and spectrum analyzers

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and self-motivation to independently drive goal-oriented work
