Description

You will work with a Senior Product Engineer and an engineering team to support next-generation product development for wafer transport and processing products used in the semiconductor industry. This co-op combines simulation, product design, and project management to validate and qualify new injection molded components. You will perform engineering analysis, build pre-production samples, recommend test parameters, and document and present engineering findings.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a member of a product team developing next generation products

  • Make small changes to CAD models

  • Perform engineering analysis

  • Construct pre-production samples for empirical validation

  • Recommend product performance and qualification test parameters

  • Document validation results and interpret, document, report, and present interim and final engineering findings

Requirements

  • Knowledge of mechanics of materials and basic fluid mechanics

  • 3D CAD design (SolidWorks or Pro-Engineer preferred)

  • Desired major: Mechanical Engineering; enrolled in an undergraduate program with completion of junior year

  • Currently enrolled student and able to follow university co-op program requirements

  • Available to work 40 hours a week, Monday–Friday (8a–5p) beginning in January through June

  • No need for Entegris immigration sponsorship now or in the future (H1-B sponsorship not provided)
