Description

Own the design vision, craft standards, and design team for the Product organization, leading end-to-end improvement of policyholder and carrier-facing experiences. You will partner with Product and Engineering leadership to embed design earlier in the product development lifecycle and tie decisions to measurable business and customer outcomes, starting with XpressOne and the broader policyholder payment journey.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end customer journey across Product, with accountability for reducing friction in policyholder and carrier-facing experiences

• Lead and scale a design organization (UX, UI, design systems, research), currently ~6+ product designers and growing

• Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure design decisions map to business and customer outcomes

• Establish and maintain a design system / pattern library for consistency and speed across squads

• Represent design at the executive level and influence roadmap/prioritization with a business case

• Bring external perspective and industry best practices into a team that grew internally

• Build design operating rhythms (critique, research cadence, design reviews) that scale with the organization

Requirements

• 10+ years in product design, with 5+ years in a design leadership role owning a team and portfolio

• Business fluency connecting design decisions to revenue, retention, or operational outcomes

• Experience in fintech or insurtech (preferred)

• Track record building or scaling a design function, including design systems and design ops

• Experience owning a customer journey end-to-end, across both consumer-facing and enterprise audiences

• Strong point of view with a collaborative style that enables decision-making without stalling teams

• May require occasional work outside standard business hours
