Description

Lead AI/ML engineering strategy across the enterprise by partnering with senior executives and AI Platform Engineering leaders to ensure compliant, scalable AI deployments. Manage a specialized team of Principal AI Engineers and Scientists and oversee production ML health and maintainable, scalable data science code. Use executive dashboards and cloud/AI governance frameworks (including NIST AI RMF) to drive go/no-go deployment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Act as a primary strategic bridge across the enterprise, working closely with Legal, Information Security (InfoSec), and Responsible AI (RAI) executives

• Partner with AI Platform Engineering leaders and guide BU-level AI product owners to ensure compliance

• Direct and plan work for a specialized team of Principal AI Engineers and Scientists

• Ensure production ML tasks operate properly and data science code is maintainable and scalable

• Use corporate Responsible AI/Integrity/Legal frameworks and industry AI safety standards (e.g., NIST AI RMF)

• Make strategic go/no-go deployment decisions using executive dashboards, AWS/GCP cloud governance frameworks, AI registration hubs, and the 4-Quadrant AI Evaluation architecture

• Translate raw data from data pipelines into data science models ready to scale

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of work experience

• 10+ years of relevant experience

• 3+ years managing high-performing engineering/AI teams

• Experience in AI Science/Engineering

• Annual salary range: $126,000–$242,000 (varies by location and skills/experience)
