Description

Lead engineering strategy and technical operations for secure, scalable media production, post-production, collaboration, storage, networking, and content delivery systems. Own technology modernization roadmaps, engineering budgets/asset lifecycles, and cross-functional transformation programs. Drive AI-enabled workflow evolution and ensure operational readiness, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support secure and scalable media production and delivery systems

• Lead system architecture, technology integration, operational readiness, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support

• Establish engineering standards, documentation, and operating procedures; drive continuous improvement

• Develop technology strategies and modernization roadmaps aligned with production and business needs

• Own engineering budget planning, forecasting, financial reporting, and capital/operational expenditure management

• Manage hardware/software licensing, support agreements, capitalized assets, depreciation, refresh cycles, and lifecycle planning

• Evaluate investments and vendor solutions for value, compliance, operational effectiveness, and sustainability

• Lead complex cross-functional programs from planning through deployment and adoption

• Manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, stakeholder communications, and executive reporting

• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, procurement, service agreements, onboarding, and delivery

• Assess and transform engineering/production/operational workflows using automation and AI-assisted capabilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field AND 5+ years technical support/technical consulting/IT experience (or equivalent)

• 6+ years supporting media production/post-production/broadcast/gaming/entertainment/creative technology environments

• Experience with SMPTE 2110 standards and practices

• Experience leading cross-functional programs and managing concurrent projects in complex environments

• Experience managing engineering budgets, capital planning, depreciation tracking, procurement processes, and vendor contracts

• Experience creating/managing Purchase Orders (POs) and Statements of Work (SOWs)

• Experience designing/supporting media production infrastructure, storage platforms, asset management systems, and distributed collaboration environments

• Experience evaluating and implementing AI-driven process improvements and workflow automation

• Experience with financial management, budgeting, and business operations

• Experience with Microsoft 365 and tools including Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Asana, Confluence, SharePoint, Notion, Parsec, Adobe Creative Suite (or similar)

Benefits

• Base pay range (U.S.): USD $106,400–$203,600 per year

• Base pay range (San Francisco Bay Area and NYC metro): USD $137,600–$222,600 per year

• Eligibility for benefits and other compensation depending on role
