Description

Manage supervisors and employees and lead engineering delivery across projects, CAD vendor management, and engineering work methodologies. Provide technical guidance, resolve technical/resource/scheduling issues, and collaborate with engineering leadership and shop/technician groups to tailor processes for equipment assembly. Own business relationships with CAD companies and drive support/maintenance agreements while helping define project scope, timelines, and resourcing.

Responsibilities

• Manage supervisors and employees; conduct performance appraisals, pay reviews, and training/development
• Provide technical guidance to employees, colleagues, and clients
• Collaborate with engineering leads to develop and document work methodologies for new designs and modifications
• Coordinate with Engineering Technician & Machine Shop to tailor methodologies to support equipment assembly processes
• Identify CAD tools and other equipment to support the group’s mission
• Identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems
• Drive resolution of technical, resource, and scheduling issues during engineering projects
• Manage business relationships with CAD companies and ensure support/maintenance agreements
• Develop, implement, review, and improve project management methodologies for the engineering group
• For new projects, define technical requirements as well as scope, timeline, and resources
• Review engineering goals and accomplishments; verify consistent adherence to established methodologies and set improvement goals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (electrical, mechanical, or software)
• 3-5 years management experience across multiple engineering disciplines
• Strong leadership and verbal/written communication skills
• Commitment to safe work practices

Benefits

• Salary range: $160,000–$190,000 annual base
