Description

Design and architect production software in MES and IIoT/Industry 4.0 environments, translating manufacturing requirements into scalable data models and distributed system architectures. Work with modern frameworks and cloud services while evaluating new tools, improving code quality through reviews, and documenting best practices. Enable customers and internal teams, including responsible AI application within your scope.

Responsibilities

• Translate production requirements into well-designed data models and scalable architectures

• Support customers in building future-proof production software architectures

• Evaluate new frameworks, libraries, and tools; optimize existing solutions and processes

• Share knowledge in team meetings and architecture reviews; improve code quality

• Provide responsive support when challenges arise

• Document proven approaches and create useful team guidance

Requirements

• Degree or training in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent knowledge

• Experience developing production software in a MES or IIoT context

• Ability to apply distributed system architecture concepts using UML

• Programming expertise in Java, .NET, or Python; familiarity with Spring Boot and/or Angular

• Experience with Scrum, SAFe, and DevOps

• Hands-on experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)

• Database knowledge: SQL, NoSQL, graph databases, or time-series databases

• Strong AI expertise and ability to actively shape responsible AI use

• Very good German and good English skills
