• Role: IT Consultant for MES / IIoT

Description

You will help manufacturing customers implement innovative digitalization projects and move toward Industry 4.0. The role focuses on advising customers on production software such as Industrial Internet of Things platforms and MES systems, while moderating workshops and presenting results. You will also support key users, and contribute to pre-sales activities for new projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production needs and deliver digitalization projects in manufacturing
• Advise customers on Industrial Internet of Things platforms and MES systems
• Moderate customer workshops and present outcomes, including to top management
• Support key users to ensure effective understanding and use of the software
• Support the sales team in winning new projects

Requirements

• Degree or vocational training in (business) informatics, production engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering
• At least 3 years of practical experience with consulting, development, and rollout of production software
• Knowledge of machine data acquisition and standards such as OPC-UA
• Programming experience with Java or .NET or Python
• Preferred: Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Ability to moderate workshops/project meetings and create presentations with PowerPoint
• Experience with collecting requirements from production and understanding production context
• Confident use of AI tools in the domain with critical assessment of results
• Very good German and good English skills
