Description

Lead the design and evolution of secure, scalable cloud microservice architectures with a strong focus on security, scalability, and performance. Provide technical leadership for innovative cloud software architectures in customer projects, including selecting and integrating open-source components for orchestration and cloud management. Contribute to high-availability security infrastructure and ensure early security integration aligned with DevSecOps and IT security guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve a cloud microservice architecture as part of a team

  • Provide technical leadership for the conception and implementation of cloud software architectures in customer projects

  • Select suitable open-source components and frameworks (especially orchestration and cloud-management) and support their integration and optimization in private cloud environments

  • Design highly available and secure cloud infrastructures across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS

  • Architect and implement software-level security solutions such as IAM systems, PKI infrastructures, and HSM-based solutions

  • Ensure early integration of security aspects into the development process using DevSecOps approaches and compliance with IT security policies

  • Plan and execute defined sub-work packages independently

  • Identify and complete needed trainings to improve delivery quality

  • Support acquisition of follow-on engagements

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification

  • Several years of software architecture experience, ideally Cloud Security

  • Strong knowledge of microservice architectures and RESTful APIs

  • Strong knowledge of security architectures in on-premise cloud environments and with open-source technologies

  • Experience with Kubernetes-based container orchestration

  • Experience with IAM and PKI; familiarity with HSM and/or open-source cloud ecosystems such as SUSE and OpenStack

  • Practical experience developing scalable, secure software solutions

  • Hands-on programming experience with Java, Go, and Python

  • Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
