Description

You will provide on-site and remote support for customers’ media technology systems, handling fault analysis, diagnosis, and troubleshooting for AV, UC, and network environments. The role includes preventive service work, functional testing, commissioning and replacement of defective components, and support for updates and firmware installations.

You will also document incidents and solutions in ticketing systems and coordinate closely with project teams, manufacturers, and 2nd-level support.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fault analysis, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of media technology systems (AV, UC, and network)

  • Deliver on-site customer support and provide remote support

  • Conduct functional tests, maintenance, and preventive service activities

  • Document deployments, error symptoms, and resolution steps in ticketing systems

  • Replace and commission defective components (displays, controllers, AV hardware, control systems, etc.)

  • Support updates, firmware installs, and system optimizations

  • Work with project teams, manufacturers, and 2nd-level support

  • Advise customers on technical questions related to existing installations

Requirements

  • Completed training in media technology, information technology, electronics, or equivalent qualification

  • Multi-year experience in service or technical field service (preferred)

  • Deep knowledge in at least one area: conference room technology; audio/video and signal distribution with DSP; control/media control systems (Crestron, AMX, Extron); digital signage/display tech/LED walls

  • Experience in fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and hardware component replacement

  • Structured and independent working style

  • Good German and basic English

  • Willingness to travel (mainly regional, occasionally nationwide)

  • Class B driver’s license
