Description

You will support applications and take them over progressively—from initial rollout to application management and subsequent development. The role includes providing 2nd-level support, deploying new application versions to test and production, documenting IT processes, and working with external vendors. You’ll be expected to deepen your understanding of the supported applications to contribute to their further growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd-level support for assigned applications and communicate with end users

  • Deploy new application releases to both test and live environments

  • Document new procedures and IT processes

  • Gradually gain strong understanding of the assigned applications to support their further development

  • Coordinate with external system vendors during rollout and ongoing evolution

  • Collaborate with internal teams as well as external partners

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related application role (application analyst/administrator/support/manager)

  • Experience in a financial institution

  • Working knowledge of SQL with evidence of using SQL queries in practice (Oracle or MS SQL experience is a plus)

  • General IT background: awareness of application management, development, and testing processes

  • Knowledge of MS or Linux environments and experience with application deployment (or willingness to learn)

  • Strong communication skills to gather functional requirements from business users and to work with external vendors

  • Excellent Czech or Slovak language skills

  • Active English for communication with vendors

  • Independence, flexibility, and ability to work in a team
