Description

Own the stable, secure, and efficient operation of business applications across the full application lifecycle. Act as IT Application Owner and provide application-related second-level support, including root-cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions. Partner with business teams to capture and prioritize requirements, plan tests and releases, and implement security, privacy, archiving, and governance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure reliable operations of the supported business applications throughout the application lifecycle.
  • Act as IT Application Owner to maintain stable and secure application operations.
  • Support business areas and Data Owners with requirements for data quality, permissions, and compliance.
  • Deliver application-related second-level support, including cause analysis, coordination with manufacturers, and deriving long-term measures from recurring incidents.
  • Collaborate with business departments to capture, prioritize, and implement requirements; advise on process optimization.
  • Plan and coordinate testing, training, releases, and rollouts of new functionality.
  • Participate in IT and digitalization projects and manage external service providers, software manufacturers, and implementation partners.
  • Implement application-related requirements for information security, data protection, archiving, and internal governance; monitor them with the responsible specialist units.
  • Maintain technical and functional documentation and foster knowledge transfer within the organization.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Business Administration with an IT focus, or comparable vocational training with relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in application management, business application support, IT consulting, or a similar IT/business interface role.
  • Experience supporting and developing business applications (CRM, ECM/DMS, workflow, ERP-adjacent systems) and strong understanding of business processes.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and implement business requirements with business departments, key users, and external providers.
  • Knowledge of IT service management processes: Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management (ideally ITIL).
  • German proficiency of at least C1 and good English skills in speech and writing.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with a structured, solution-oriented approach.
