Description

Own the development and roadmap of an assigned portion of the application portfolio and act as the main IT partner for business owners. You translate business needs into prioritized changes and manage delivery via external IT suppliers, including running smaller IT projects in your application domain. You ensure changes are specified clearly, delivered within scope/quality/timeline/budget, and successfully accepted by the business and handed over to operations.

Responsibilities

• Application ownership & business partnership
  • Own application development and the roadmap
  • Understand supported business processes and user needs
  • Collaborate with business owners to formulate and prioritize requirements
  • Assess benefits, costs, risks, and impacts of proposed changes
  • Set expectations and propose realistic solution options
• Change & backlog management
  • Convert business requirements into clear supplier-ready requests
  • Define scope, goals, acceptance criteria, timeline, and expected benefits
  • Maintain and prioritize the change backlog
  • Prepare materials for decision-making and Go/No-Go gates
  • Oversee delivery within agreed scope, quality, schedule, and budget
• Supplier management
  • Day-to-day coordination with external suppliers
  • Request analysis, estimates, and implementation of changes
  • Evaluate proposals on effort, cost, timelines, and risks
  • Monitor commitments and escalate deviations on time
  • Assess supplier quality and the quality of their outputs
• Lead smaller IT projects
  • Plan milestones, budget, risks, and dependencies
  • Coordinate business, suppliers, Test Lead, IT Service Manager, and other stakeholders
  • Report according to PMO rules
  • Ensure proper handover of changes into production
• Testing & handover to operations
  • Prepare business acceptance criteria and test scenarios
  • Work with the Test Lead on testing and the release process
  • Ensure business acceptance and user readiness
  • Work with the IT Service Manager on operational readiness and hypercare
  • Route operational issues requiring application changes back to the backlog

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Application Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, IT Project Management, or a similar role
• Experience with business application development and managing external IT vendors
• Experience leading smaller IT projects end-to-end (from assignment to go-live)
• Ability to manage backlog, priorities, timelines, costs, and risks
• Ability to understand business needs and translate them into implementable solutions
• Basic understanding of integrations, data flows, and the change life cycle
• Experience with testing, user acceptance, and production handover
• Knowledge of Jira or similar tools for backlog and project management
• Autonomy and responsibility for outcomes
• Ability to drive changes from request through deployment
• Strong communication with both business stakeholders and vendors
