Description

You advise customers in the process industry on safe, efficient integration of production and IT systems, connecting Shopfloor and Topfloor into coherent end-to-end solutions. You will analyze existing IT/OT landscapes, define system architectures, and support implementation in client projects. You also enable data-driven analytics and AI by applying production data and AI tools responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Consulting on secure and efficient connectivity between production and IT systems

• Designing holistic Shopfloor–Topfloor solutions considering production-site and IT infrastructure requirements

• Analyzing current IT/OT environments and developing system architectures; supporting implementation in customer projects

• Planning and leading workshops, proof-of-concepts, and feasibility studies with stakeholders

• Serving as a consulting lead in projects, including team leadership and hands-on contribution to IT/OT topics

• Shaping the consulting portfolio for the process industry and supporting acquisition with domain expertise

Requirements

• Degree in industrial engineering, process engineering, computer science, or a comparable program

• 6 years of experience in the process industry (e.g., chemical, steel) and in business or IT consulting, ideally at the production–IT interface

• Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and MES and deep understanding of their integration with IT systems

• Deep understanding of production and business processes (production, maintenance, supply chain)

• Experience implementing IT/OT solutions from architecture to security, operations scaling, and analytics/AI use cases based on production data

• Confident, critical use of AI tools in the domain to assess outcomes and unlock potential

• Very good German and good English
