Description

You will evaluate relevant AI technologies in a Defense context, derive solution approaches for customers, and develop AI use cases along the value chain—from operational scenarios through engineering and production. The position combines end-to-end AI solution design with integration into complex system landscapes and close collaboration with customer projects and bid/proposal processes.

Responsibilities

• Assess AI technologies relevant to Defense and translate them into concrete customer solution concepts.
• Steer and further develop AI use cases across the value chain, from operational scenarios to production and engineering.
• Identify and implement AI application areas such as production, engineering, and software development (e.g., Predictive Maintenance, quality assurance, digital twins).
• Design and deliver end-to-end AI solutions, including integration into complex system environments.
• Translate Defense and industrial requirements into scalable, practice-ready AI solutions at the business–technology interface.
• Actively contribute in customer projects and offer/proposal processes and help advance Defense AI topics and best practices.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, a STEM field, or equivalent.
• Proven experience with AI technologies, architectures, and their practical use in projects or enterprise settings.
• Experience in data management and Data Governance; ability to build data-driven solutions.
• Experience in developing or evaluating AI use cases with clear added value.
• Hands-on experience in project, pre-sales, or transformation environments; strategic ability to justify AI investments.
• Strong communication across stakeholder levels, ideally with Defense domain knowledge.
• Very good German and English skills; willingness to travel.
