Description

Help internal teams understand workflows, identify bottlenecks, and automate processes using reliable AI-enabled solutions. You will build and maintain integrations, internal tools, and AI-enabled workflows while ensuring reliability, maintainability, and security in a regulated healthcare environment. You will not be expected to make governance or regulatory decisions independently; instead, you translate agreed requirements into technical solutions and operational controls.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze workflows to uncover opportunities for process improvement and automation

  • Design and build internal automation and AI-enabled solutions (assistants, agents, document workflows, extraction & classification, knowledge search)

  • Build and maintain integrations between AI services and systems such as SharePoint, Teams, Jira, Confluence, Zoho using APIs, webhooks, scripting, and automation tools

  • Own solutions beyond prototyping: testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement

  • Maintain and enhance existing automation and AI solutions

  • Create reusable standards for integrations, access controls, testing, monitoring, error handling, documentation, and human review

  • Support teams in evaluating automation and AI ideas and applying approved tools effectively

  • Prioritize AI/automation use cases based on value, feasibility, effort, data sensitivity, risk, and adoption

  • Collaborate with compliance, security, privacy, quality, AI, regulatory, and legal experts to translate agreed requirements into practical technical controls

Requirements

  • Professional experience in software engineering, automation engineering, systems integration, internal tooling, or a comparable hands-on technical role

  • Proven ability to independently design, build, and maintain software, integrations, or automations used in day-to-day operations

  • Strong practical programming or scripting skills; experience with APIs, webhooks, data sources, business systems, and automation/integration tools

  • Practical familiarity with generative AI, AI assistants, or AI-supported workflows

  • Knowledge of authentication, authorization, secrets management, logging, monitoring, and basic cloud-security practices

  • Ability to translate operational problems into pragmatic, reliable, and maintainable technical solutions

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Benefits

  • Flexible work setup (remote or office) with a flexible schedule and working time model

  • Learning culture with regular retro/inspiration sessions and advanced training

  • Team events (e.g., skiing in Switzerland, white water rafting in Vienna)

  • Fair salary

  • Additional benefits including free choice of laptop, home office allowance, and an extra vacation day

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Experience in healthcare, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, financial services, or other regulated environments

  • Familiarity with GDPR, data protection by design, information-security controls, quality management systems, or regulated software processes

  • Experience with AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, enterprise search, document extraction/classification, AI evaluation, or workflow monitoring

  • Experience with low-code/no-code automation platforms alongside traditional software development
