Description

Lead/manage SATCOM and RF Ground Segment development and integration of commercial and government networks, components, and infrastructures. Execute systems engineering processes to verify system requirements, oversee planning and integration, and develop system concepts to enhance mission operations. Create and maintain system artifacts and training documentation, including System CONOPs, TTPs, and alternative courses of action, while performing risk assessment and supporting project schedule and requirements tracking.

Job Duties

• Lead/manage development and execution of SATCOM and RF Ground Segment development and integration of commercial and government networks, components, and infrastructures
• Lead hardware/software requirements analysis
• Implement systems engineering processes and procedures to verify system requirements are met using approved verification methods and document verification results
• Lead technical planning and provide oversight to system integration
• Oversee design, implementation, and integration of systems engineering processes
• Contribute to development of new system concepts to enhance mission operations
• Develop and maintain system artifacts and training documentation
• Oversee system developers, test, and support personnel during system updates and document results and findings
• Coordinate with systems engineering leads and other technical staff
• Develop and maintain System CONOPs, TTPs, and alternative courses of action
• Perform technical support, risk assessment, and evaluation of program management and technical review execution
• Support development and management of project master schedules, integrating technical milestones and key events
• Track project technical requirements, reports, and metrics
• Develop and manage SATCOM Ground Segment utilization efforts and associated tasks
• Coordinate with IC, SATCOM, and Space community to support development efforts and operational system utilization

Requirements

• US Citizen
• Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (EE, ME, AE, CS) or applied sciences (Mathematics, Physics)
• Minimum 10 years of experience, including 5 years in space SATCOM/RF and/or satellite ground systems
• Experience decomposing Government requirements into system, subsystem, and components
• Experience preparing technical papers and performing trades; ability to modify systems engineering processes across the project development lifecycle
• Experience organizing external and internal stakeholders toward project goals and objectives
• Ability to brief complex engineering concepts and designs to technical and non-technical personnel
• Experience working with diverse engineering staff across multiple areas of expertise
• Experience developing/managing project management products (Program Roadmaps, Integrated Master Schedules, Roles & Responsibilities Matrix, Work Breakdown Structures)
• Experience supporting DoD IC, SATCOM, and Space communities in mission execution
• Experience analyzing signals and communication technologies
• Experience with SATCOM architecture and data flows
