Description

You will contribute to the full lifecycle development of special test equipment used in space applications, supporting cradle-to-grave design, build, validation, and support so flight products perform as intended in extreme operating environments. The work spans architecture and detailed circuit design, prototyping, integration, verification, and delivery, including troubleshooting during integration, environmental testing, and production. You will also develop models/analyses and automated test software/data acquisition systems to validate system performance and meet space qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in full lifecycle development of STE for power, digital, RF, and mixed-signal space systems; contribute to architecture, detailed circuit design, prototyping, integration, verification, and delivery
  • Perform and review detailed circuit designs (power supplies, MCUs, FPGAs, memory/logic, RF front ends, filters, amplifiers, mixers); implement prototypes and test harnesses
  • Develop models and analyses to predict and validate system performance using SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, ADS, or equivalent tools
  • Design, develop, and validate automated test software and data acquisition systems using LabVIEW, Test Stand, Python, C#, or equivalent tools
  • Support design reviews, design controls, configuration management, and execution of verification/qualification test plans to meet space qualification requirements; implement reviewer feedback and corrective actions
  • Troubleshoot anomalies during integration, environmental testing, and production; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Recommend procurement needs and suggest test equipment purchases to meet technical objectives; assist with equipment selection and evaluation
  • Provide technical input to proposals, including scope definition, cost/schedule estimates, and risk analyses
  • Collaborate with engineers/technicians/program leads and communicate technical status/risks to stakeholders when requested

Requirements

  • US Security Clearance eligibility: US Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance post-start
  • Bachelor of Science degree (engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science)
  • 5+ years of engineering work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in digital, power, or RF test systems
