Description

As our academic and clinical G.I. Hospitalist, you will provide comprehensive inpatient and procedureal services for the full spectrum of gastrointestinal diseases. You will work with general and advanced gastroenterologists and support learners, residents, and fellows from the Gastroenterology fellowship program at Creighton University School of Medicine. The role is board eligible or board certified in Gastroenterology and emphasizes patient-centered care, communication, sound clinical judgment, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Take new inpatient (IP) consults
• Perform IP rounding on GI service
• Perform inpatient endoscopy
• Work from a dedicated scoping schedule
• Cover inpatient sites on weekdays (CUMC Bergan campus; Bergan IP, Lakeside IP campus, Immanuel IP campus)
• Participate in academic activities such as Grand Rounds if desired

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• BE/BC in Internal Medicine
• BE/BC in Gastroenterology
• Ability to obtain licensure in Nebraska
• DEA Certification
• BLS
