Tech Lead (Java), Cross-Border Payments and SWIFT Technology team

About this opportunity

Welcome to the Cross-Border Payments and SWIFT Technology Software Development team. The team provides solutions that support secure, smooth and reliable payment transactions for corporate customers, reducing risk while improving speed and transparency. Development teams work across multiple countries and follow SAFe principles.

What you’ll be doing

• Act as a Tech Lead Developer.
• Develop and implement business features for cross-border payments and SWIFT technology.
• Apply problem-solving skills to technical challenges.
• Support architecture modernization.
• Collaborate with agile team members and stakeholders.

The role is based in Gdańsk/Gdynia or Helsinki and uses a hybrid working model, with 60% onsite time.

Who you are

• Able to code in Java.
• Comfortable communicating and working with different stakeholders.
• Outgoing, self-motivated and contributing to strong team spirit.

Your experience and background

• At least 8–10 years of Java software development experience.
• Knowledge of design patterns and API module building and implementation is highly useful.
• Knowledge of Kafka, WebLogic, IBM MQ, SWIFT Standard ISO20022, Splunk, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker and Git is an advantage.
• Experience with banking payment systems is beneficial.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
